Cookbook Countdown #13: SV's Cabbage, meatballs and noodle broth

Here is my adaptation of:
Spiced meatballs, noodles and vegetables cooked slowly in a rich broth!
I used round green cabbage in place of Chinese cabbage,
fresh shiitake instead of dried, no enokitake mushrooms - cos I had none!
Made and used my homemade vegetable stock instead of beef.
Used Vietnamese rice noodles instead of mung bean noodles.
Hand mixed the meatball mixture instead of using a food processor
Nice but too much work!
Recipe from pages 70-71 of:

Lol on the too much work...and it was good to see that substitutions work out well as the end dish looked delicious to me.

Nevertheless, I might just give this another go when I have all the right ingredients. The meatball was good though!

Cabbage and meatballs. Here in the US that would be similar to deconstructed stuffed cabbage. Looks good!

That looks delicious Emily! Kudos to you for making your own stock!
