 Welcome to Cookbook Countdown
I'm co-hosting Cookbook Countdown together with Joyce of Kitchen Flavours. If you are like us, who love to collect cookbooks and have an overcrowding bookshelf (or bookshelves!), yet most of the books have not been used at all, now is the time to change that. Join us at Cookbook Countdown
Thank goodness for Cookbook Countdown!
Look what I found from my stash ~ Classic Asian Noodles (CAN)
Since I could not make up my mind which other cookbook to use in August,
I am continuing with July's book - Classic Asian Noodles!
Indian Mee Goreng - page 136-137
chopped tomato, chopped onion, chopped green chili (I used red),
frozen peas, boiled potato cubed, meat curry powder made into paste,
bean sprouts. egg. salt, tomato sauce, dark soy sauce, kasturi limes.
peanut oil for frying, I used spaghetti instead of Hokkien noodles.
Never ever eating non-home-cooked Mamak mee goreng again!
Perhaps in September?

  1. I've never heard of Mamak mee goreng but it looks and sounds delicious! "Naturally Speaking Chinese, Recipes and Home Remedies" sounds like a fascinating book...I'd love to see some of the dishes from that book.

  2. Zosia, I made one recipe from it already! Great minds think alike!

  3. Hi Emily,
The Mamak mee goreng are usually quite oily and I don't really fancy yellow noodle. Great to use spaghetti. .. looks delish!

  4. Yes Karen,

Spaghetti is better than yellow noodles, and this recipe is the best Mamak mee goreng ever!
